Private House, Roundhay, Leeds
Design 4 have recently secured planning permission to remodel and extend an existing house in the Roundhay conservation area of Leeds.
The brief for the project was to create a contemporary open plan two storey addition to the rear of the property that would link the existing building to the large South facing garden. In addition, a more traditional side extension to create garaging and additional bedroom space has been designed.
The use of self coloured render, cedar cladding and galvanised steel will serve to create a subtle yet contrasting addition to the house which will provide a physical and visual link to the external space at both ground and first floor level.
